Nigel Cabourn has been in the fashion industry for over 40 years, running his own fashion business since the age of 20.
He went to fashion college in Newcastle for 1967 to 1971, The city becoming the influence for his first label, Cricket, a label very much of its time, based on the look of the pop stars of the day.
The vintage and heritage look of the current Cabourn label was influenced in part by Paul Smith, an ex employee of Nigel’s, who introduced him to the flea markets of Paris.
The creative hub of the business is the Garden House which is based in Newcastle Upon Tyne,
Cabourns flagship store, the Army Gym opened in London’s Covent Garden in 2014.
Nigel Cabourn has a long heritage in Japan, becoming a popular brand back in the 1980’s. He now has 6 stores across Japan.
