CP Company was Established in 1975, but started the year before as Chester Perry by Massimo Osti. The name comes from a cartoon strip called Bristow, Chester Perry being the company main man Bristow worked for.
Issues arose with the name sounding too similar to Fred Perry, and after a court order the name was changed to CP Company.

Massimo had wanted to bring to market a jacket that incorporated goggles into the hood, and with the assistance of Baruffaldi, a world leader in sports optics, they produced the new piece for their 1988 Spring Summer collection.
